For the future of the children
Since 1995, Pastor Bonaventure Kambotuu has been promoting the schooling of children in his home country of Ghana in a special way. A primary school, junior high school, a boarding school and accommodation for the boys and girls were created.
In 2017 a new kindergarten was built with the help of the Sternsinger funds from the Donau Heuberg pastoral care unit and with the support of the Kindermissionswerk,
“The Carolers” built. So the little ones have a place to play and learn.
Establishment of a boarding school
In order to reduce unemployment, which is over 50%, Father Bonaventure is concerned with giving young people a perspective after school. Thus, a boarding school was founded to enable the young people to receive training in housekeeping and building trades. We would like to offer other training opportunities, such as electricians, carpenters, locksmiths and car mechanics.
Current projects
• Construction of a training hall for technical professions
• Mechanization of a well:
Tanks are set up by the kitchen and showers to make it easier to carry heavy buckets of water over long distances.
• Creation of a school garden to feed the boarding school students and to teach them about new cultivation methods.
